Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building scalable cloud infrastructure solutions. Your expertise in programming languages such as Golang and Python allows you to create robust tooling that enhances internal customer experiences. You understand the principles of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and have a strong grasp of cloud security practices, ensuring that the infrastructure you build is both functional and secure.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Your problem-solving skills enable you to tackle unique technical challenges at scale, and you are passionate about creating safer, more civil shared experiences for users. You are also comfortable with networking concepts, particularly in creating and managing Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs).

Desirable

Experience with hybrid cloud environments and familiarity with third-party cloud services would be a plus. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies, and you enjoy mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge to help them grow.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer at Roblox, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of infrastructure management. You will build self-service workflows that empower internal customers to manage cloud infrastructure efficiently. This involves utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate processes and enhance user experience.

You will partner with the Cloud Security team to ensure that all cloud infrastructure is secure and compliant with industry standards. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing a Control Plane that facilitates seamless access to cloud functionality and capacity.

In addition, you will create tooling that simplifies the management of both third-party cloud services and on-premises resources. Your work will directly impact how Roblox operates its cloud infrastructure, enabling the company to scale effectively while maintaining high standards of security and performance.
