With at least 5 years of experience, you have a proven track record of providing legal guidance in a fast-paced environment. You possess the ability to translate complex legal requirements into actionable advice for cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance while fostering innovation. Your strong communication skills allow you to collaborate effectively with Product, User Experience, and Engineering teams, making you a key player in the product development process.

You have a deep knowledge of global privacy and data security laws and regulations, which enables you to navigate the legal landscape of the TV streaming industry. You are self-motivated and proactive, always staying ahead of emerging legal issues that could impact Roku's products and services. Your analytical skills help you assess risks and provide strategic legal advice that aligns with business objectives.

Desirable

Experience in the technology or media sectors is a plus, as is familiarity with the regulatory environment surrounding streaming services. You are comfortable working in a collaborative team setting and are eager to contribute to the success of Roku's mission to connect consumers with the content they love.

What you'll do

In this role, you will provide legal support for Roku's consumer platform products from the initial design stages through to launch and implementation. You will work closely with product teams to ensure that all legal requirements are met, helping to shape the development of innovative features while mitigating legal risks. Your expertise in data privacy will be crucial as you advise on compliance with applicable laws and regulations, ensuring that user data is handled responsibly and ethically.

You will also be responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts, policies, and other legal documents related to product development and consumer interactions. Your ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner will be essential as you collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization. You will stay informed about changes in the legal landscape and proactively advise the team on potential impacts to Roku's business.
