You are proficient in using tools like BigQuery and Apache Spark, and you have a solid understanding of data modeling principles. Your programming skills in Python enable you to write efficient data processing scripts and automate workflows.

You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with business partners and engineering teams to understand their data needs. You have excellent communication skills, allowing you to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders. Your attention to detail ensures that data quality is maintained, and you are proactive in identifying and resolving data-related issues.

Desirable

Experience with data privacy regulations such as GDPR or CCPA is a plus, as is familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance the data engineering processes at Roku.

What you'll do

As a Senior Data Engineer focused on Privacy, you will play a key role in designing and implementing data architectures that comply with privacy requirements. You will work on developing and maintaining the Big Data Platform, ensuring that it meets the needs of both internal and external customers. Your responsibilities will include designing data models, creating ETL processes, and collaborating with various teams to collect and analyze metrics critical to business success.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that data privacy regulations are adhered to throughout the data lifecycle. This includes implementing data governance practices and working with legal and compliance teams to ensure that all data handling processes are compliant with relevant laws.
