Roku is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to support the Roku TV program. You'll work on partner SOC board bring-up, third-party API integration, and Roku OS feature development. This position requires strong expertise in C, C++, and Java.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in developing and maintaining embedded systems. Your expertise in C and C++ allows you to work effectively on low-level programming and system integration tasks. You are familiar with Linux environments and have experience with REST API development, enabling you to create seamless integrations with third-party services.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you can tackle complex challenges with innovative solutions. You understand the importance of scalability and performance in software design, and you are committed to writing clean, maintainable code.

What you'll do

In this role, you will support core tasks ranging from partner SOC board bring-up to third-party API integration. You will be involved in Roku OS feature development, ensuring that new features are implemented efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilities will also include code maintenance and design scalability solutions to help onboard new factories. You will collaborate closely with the QA and Channel certification teams to ensure that all products meet the highest standards before release.

You will play a key role in the end-to-end product development and release cycles, contributing to the overall success of the Roku TV program. Your work will directly impact how millions of users experience streaming on their smart TVs, making your contributions vital to the company's mission.
