Overview
Rubrik is seeking a Head of Tax to lead their global tax strategy, planning, accounting, and compliance functions. This role requires significant experience in tax management and collaboration with various internal departments.

Who you are
You are an experienced senior-level tax professional with a proven track record in leading tax departments. You have a deep understanding of tax strategy, planning, accounting, and compliance, and you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can work closely with finance, legal, and operations teams. You possess strong analytical skills and are adept at conducting tax research to identify planning opportunities and mitigate risks. Your leadership experience includes managing and developing teams, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet departmental goals.
You have the ability to analyze the tax implications of major business decisions, such as mergers and acquisitions, and you are skilled at integrating tax considerations into business strategies. You are familiar with tax regulations and compliance requirements at both federal and international levels, and you have experience overseeing the preparation and review of tax returns. Your attention to detail ensures accuracy and compliance in all tax-related processes.
Desirable
You may have additional experience in process improvements that enhance tax efficiency and accuracy. Familiarity with accounting standards, particularly ASC 740, is a plus, as is the ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires in-office presence.
What you'll do
As the Head of Tax at Rubrik, you will develop and implement tax strategies that align with the company's business goals and regulatory requirements. You will conduct thorough tax research and analysis to identify opportunities for tax planning and risk mitigation. Your role will involve analyzing the tax implications of significant business decisions, ensuring that tax considerations are integrated into the overall business strategy. You will collaborate with various internal departments, including finance, legal, and operations, as well as external advisors, to ensure comprehensive tax compliance and strategy execution.
You will oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable regulations. Managing the tax provision process will be a key responsibility, and you will work to maintain and enhance internal controls over tax processes. You will also identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of tax operations. As a leader, you will manage and develop your direct reports and a global team, fostering a collaborative environment that meets departmental goals and deadlines.
