Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in machine learning and software engineering, with a strong foundation in developing and deploying machine learning models. Your expertise in Python is complemented by your proficiency in frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch, allowing you to build robust ML applications that drive business impact. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including full-stack engineers and firmware developers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet user needs. You understand the importance of data quality and have experience in feature engineering, model training, and evaluation. You are passionate about leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency and sustainability in various industries.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP is a plus, as is familiarity with MLOps practices for deploying and monitoring machine learning models in production. You have a keen interest in the Internet of Things (IoT) and how it can be harnessed to create actionable insights from data. You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys tackling complex challenges and continuously learning about new technologies and methodologies in the machine learning space.

What you'll do

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Samsara, you will be responsible for designing and implementing machine learning solutions that enhance the safety and efficiency of physical operations. You will collaborate closely with various engineering teams to develop end-to-end ML applications that integrate seamlessly with our product offerings. Your role will involve analyzing large datasets to extract meaningful insights and improve our algorithms' performance. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall architecture of our ML infrastructure, ensuring best practices are followed.
