Who you are
You are a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Engineer with a strong background in ensuring quality standards in complex manufacturing environments. You have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, ensuring that all aspects of production meet stringent quality requirements. Your experience includes working closely with engineering teams to monitor and evaluate product quality, particularly in the maritime sector.
You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, including production teams and regulatory bodies. You understand the importance of compliance with industry standards and are adept at navigating the complexities of quality assurance in shipyard operations. Your analytical mindset enables you to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes in the building, integration, and testing of autonomous surface vessels. You will monitor hull fabrication, welding, outfitting, electrical integration, and sea trials to ensure that all operations adhere to the highest quality standards. Collaborating with engineering and production teams, you will evaluate processes and products, ensuring compliance with customer, naval, and industry requirements.
You will conduct regular inspections and audits, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions as necessary. Your role will involve developing and implementing quality control procedures, as well as training team members on best practices in quality assurance.
