Schonfeld is seeking a Quantitative Trading Associate to support and enhance their quantitative trading operations. You'll oversee trading activity, maintain monitoring tools, and collaborate with various teams. This role requires strong data or computer science skills and 3+ years of relevant experience.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelorโs, Masterโs, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field. With over 3 years of relevant experience in the financial industry, you possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset. Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Linux-based environments are essential for your success in this role. You pay high attention to detail and have strong communication skills, which enable you to effectively collaborate with various teams.
Desirable
Experience in quantitative trading or financial operations is a plus, as is familiarity with market structure and trading platforms. You are a motivated individual who thrives in a regulated environment and is eager to take on supervisory responsibilities as you grow in your career.
What you'll do
In this role, you will oversee quantitative trading activity during market hours, monitoring strategy performance, execution quality, and key risk or control thresholds. You will maintain and enhance monitoring tools, dashboards, alerts, and operational runbooks to support safe, scalable trading operations. Coordinating and leading incident response, trade and position reconciliations, and issue resolution with internal teams and external counterparties will be part of your daily responsibilities. You will support portfolio operations, including rebalancing and inventory or constraint management, using data-driven and automated workflows. Developing a strong understanding of market structure, broker services, and trading platforms will be crucial as you collaborate with portfolio managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to turn recurring operational issues into durable process and system improvements.
