Backend Engineer • Mid-Level

Who you are

You have 2-5 years of experience as a backend developer, specifically working with Node.js and related technologies. You are skilled in building scalable server-side applications and have a strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Your knowledge of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL, allows you to design efficient data storage solutions. You are familiar with best practices in application architecture and have experience participating in the software development lifecycle as part of a Scrum team. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for writing clean, reusable, and performant code.

Desirable

Experience with frameworks like Express.js or NestJS is a plus. A solid grasp of data structures and algorithms will help you excel in this role. You are proactive in identifying and communicating best practices for backend development and are eager to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and developing backend services and APIs for our Product Engineering division. You will build next-generation server-side applications that are efficient and reusable, focusing on creating dynamic and compelling data-driven experiences for our cloud-based solutions. You will architect, develop, and test highly interactive backend web applications and reusable components using current web technologies. Your role will involve actively participating in design and code reviews to ensure the robustness of applications. You will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Frontend developers to implement versatile backend solutions and APIs. You will also obsess over the quality of the products you create and the code you write, ensuring that they meet the highest standards.
