Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in the Big Data domain, with a strong background in architecting, developing, and maintaining big data solutions. Your expertise includes working with the Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS, MapReduce, Oozie, Hive, Impala, and Spark. You are comfortable interfacing with clients, particularly at the VP and Director levels, to understand their strategic requirements and align them with technical solutions.

You thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment and have experience in agile methodologies. Your skills in database modeling, data mining, and warehousing are complemented by your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. You are passionate about leveraging data to solve complex business challenges and are eager to lead a team in delivering impactful solutions.

What you'll do

As a Technical Lead at Sigmoid, you will be responsible for building a highly-scalable and extensible big data platform that supports the collection, storage, modeling, and analysis of massive datasets from multiple channels. You will collaborate closely with clients, particularly Fortune 500 companies, to ensure that their data initiatives align with their business goals. Your role will involve daily interactions with clients, understanding their needs, and translating those into actionable technical requirements.

You will lead a team of engineers, guiding them in the development of innovative data solutions that leverage advanced data engineering and AI consulting. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the architecture and implementation of big data solutions, ensuring they meet performance and scalability requirements. You will also be involved in mentoring junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within your team.
