You have over 5 years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building scalable data platforms. Your expertise includes designing and overseeing data architecture, ensuring reliability and performance in data pipelines and storage solutions. You are skilled in data modeling and management, with a strong understanding of data quality and governance policies. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making.

You have a deep understanding of big data technologies and frameworks, including Apache Spark and BigQuery. Your experience includes developing data pipelines that handle petabytes of structured and unstructured data, and you are familiar with best practices in data governance and quality assurance. You are passionate about leveraging data for analytics and business insights, and you are eager to contribute to innovative solutions that empower teams.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is a plus, as is familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are always looking for opportunities to learn and grow.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable data architectures that support Smartsheet's data-driven products. You will oversee the development of data pipelines and storage solutions, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards. You will collaborate with product teams to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements, driving the development of innovative data solutions.

You will be responsible for establishing data governance policies and ensuring data quality across the organization. This includes developing data models that support analytics and business insights, as well as implementing best practices for data management. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
