SpaceX is hiring a Lead Electronics Engineer for the Starlink team to design and ensure the reliability of next-generation gateways. You'll work with Embedded Linux and Altium Designer in Bastrop, TX.

You have a strong background in electrical engineering with a focus on designing and developing electronic systems — your experience includes working with embedded systems and ensuring their performance in challenging environments. You possess expertise in using tools like Altium Designer and have hands-on experience with Arduino for prototyping and testing. Your understanding of communication protocols and hardware design principles allows you to create reliable and efficient systems that meet stringent requirements.

What you'll do

As the Lead Electronics Engineer on the Starlink team, you will be responsible for the design and performance of next-generation gateways — your role involves ensuring that the ground station antenna hardware can withstand harsh environmental conditions while maintaining reliable communication with millions of users globally. You will lead the engineering efforts to develop high-volume consumer hardware that connects users to the Starlink satellite network, focusing on both functionality and user experience.

You will collaborate closely with other engineers and teams to integrate hardware and software solutions, ensuring that all components work seamlessly together. Your responsibilities will include conducting rigorous testing and validation of designs, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the development process.
