You have 5+ years of experience in wireless firmware engineering, with a strong background in developing physical layer (PHY) algorithms for satellite-based 4G/5G systems. Your expertise in C and C++ allows you to implement optimized signal processing algorithms that run efficiently on resource-constrained CPUs. You are comfortable debugging complex systems and performance issues, and you have a solid understanding of wireless signal processing principles. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with wireless systems engineers and protocol firmware engineers to tackle interdisciplinary challenges. Your experience with Embedded Linux enhances your ability to develop production software that meets high-performance standards.

Desirable

Familiarity with LTE/NR eNodeB/gNodeB architectures is a plus, as is experience in developing models and running simulations to analyze overall system performance. You have a keen interest in satellite communications and are eager to contribute to innovative projects that aim to provide global cellular connectivity from space.

What you'll do

As a Senior Wireless Firmware Engineer, you will design and implement physical layer algorithms for satellite-based 4G/5G systems, ensuring that the software you develop is optimized for performance and reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate wireless PHY development, identifying and debugging complex performance issues across the wireless PHY and MAC layers. Your role will involve maintaining and documenting the wireless PHY and MAC layers of the protocol stack, ensuring that all components work seamlessly together. You will also participate in architecture and design discussions, contributing your insights to shape the future of SpaceX's wireless technologies.
