Who you are
You have a strong background in spacecraft attitude dynamics and control systems, with experience in orbit and attitude navigation filtering. Your expertise in orbital mechanics and spacecraft systems design allows you to contribute effectively to complex projects. You are proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python, which you have used to develop software solutions in aerospace applications. You thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about advancing technologies that support national security efforts.
Desirable
Experience with spacecraft systems and GNC software development is a plus. Familiarity with SpaceX's technologies, particularly Starlink, will enhance your contributions to the team. You are eager to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
As a GNC Engineer on the Starshield team, you will design and analyze vehicle GNC software and hardware systems. Your responsibilities will include testing and validating GNC algorithms to ensure mission success. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance payload pointing needs, sensor availability, and thermal constraints throughout the mission timeline. Your work will directly impact the reliability and performance of Starshield vehicles in various operational scenarios.
