Who you are

You have a proven track record in IT infrastructure management, particularly in building and operating data centers from the ground up. With a strong background in both IT and facilities engineering, you possess exceptional leadership skills and a visionary approach to technology. You thrive in high-stakes environments and are passionate about innovating solutions that drive efficiency and reliability in data center operations.

You have extensive experience in managing teams, coaching engineers, and fostering a collaborative environment. Your hands-on approach allows you to dive into critical design and execution decisions, ensuring that your team is equipped to meet the demands of mission-critical operations. You are well-versed in the latest technologies and methodologies in data center management, including advanced cooling systems and power infrastructure.

Desirable

Experience with hyperscale data centers and familiarity with environmental monitoring systems would be advantageous. A background in HVAC optimization and redundant power systems is also preferred, as these are crucial for maintaining uptime in mission-critical environments.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design, buildout, and ongoing management of next-generation data centers. This includes overseeing site selection, capacity planning, and the implementation of advanced cooling systems and power infrastructure. You will ensure that all facilities services, such as HVAC and fire suppression systems, are optimized for maximum efficiency and reliability.

You will be responsible for building and continuously developing a high-performing team of engineers focused on enterprise-level data center operations. Your leadership will guide the team in executing projects that align with SpaceX's mission and operational goals. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that data center capabilities meet the evolving needs of engineering, production, and mission operations.
