Job Description
Who you are
You hold a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline, and you have at least 2 years of professional experience in structural engineering. You are skilled in civil/structural-specific engineering and have a strong understanding of procurement and construction activities for various projects. Your ability to collaborate with multi-discipline teams is essential, as you will be working closely with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders to deliver critical infrastructure projects.
You are proficient in developing and issuing drawings, design documentation, and reports for manufacturing, industrial, and commercial construction projects. Your experience includes writing, negotiating, and managing construction contracts with subcontractors, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. You are adept at preparing cost estimates and project schedules, and you excel at resolving design and construction conflicts in real-time.
What you'll do
As a Structural Engineer at SpaceX, you will be a key member of the Project Team, responsible for designing and building infrastructure that supports the company's long-term mission of enabling human life on Mars. You will collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines to ensure that all structural aspects of projects are executed effectively. Your role will involve developing detailed drawings and documentation that meet the high standards expected at SpaceX.
