Who you are
You have 3+ years of network security experience, or you hold a bachelor's degree in information security or cyber security. You excel in a fast-paced environment and are a self-motivated individual who thrives on challenges. Your expertise in network security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS, positions you as a subject matter expert in the field. You are flexible and capable of multi-tasking, ensuring that you can handle various responsibilities effectively.
What you'll do
As a Network Security Administrator at SpaceX, you will develop and implement network security tools that are essential for protecting our systems. You will manage firewall configurations within the SpaceX enterprise network, ensuring they meet operational requirements. Your role will involve analyzing security challenges and proactively devising creative network solutions to address them. You will also be responsible for maintaining network security systems by applying system patches and performing periodic maintenance tasks. Collaboration with other teams at SpaceX will be crucial as you work to determine functional needs and communicate security policies effectively. Additionally, you will build out threat models and assess risks for proposed architectures, contributing to the overall security posture of the organization.
