What you'll do

As an Optical Engineer at SpaceX, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and validation of optical systems for the Starlink satellites. You will apply your knowledge of optics and photonics to develop laser communication terminals and other optical products that are critical to the success of the Starlink constellation. Your role will involve shaping the future of laser communication systems, directly impacting mission-critical applications such as star tracking systems for precise navigation in space environments.

You will lead efforts in building reliable and efficient optical systems, collaborating closely with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and performance. Your responsibilities will include defining system requirements, conducting validation tests, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during development and deployment.
