SpaceX is hiring a Supplier Quality Specialist for the Starlink project to manage supplier quality activities and improve vendor performance. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing and quality tools.

Who you are
You have a strong background in quality assurance and supplier management, with a focus on manufacturing processes. Your experience includes working closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. You possess a keen eye for detail and are adept at identifying non-conformances in products and processes. You are motivated by the challenge of improving supplier performance and driving operational excellence. Your communication skills enable you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring that quality issues are addressed promptly and efficiently. You are committed to fostering a culture of quality within the supply chain and are passionate about enabling suppliers to succeed.
Desirable
Experience in the aerospace or high-tech industries is a plus, as is familiarity with advanced quality tools and methodologies. A background in engineering or a related field will enhance your ability to understand complex manufacturing processes and quality requirements. What you'll do
In this role, you will support the Supply Chain team by managing tactical supplier quality activities with operational rigor. You will be responsible for eliminating the impact of vendor-caused defects on SpaceX engineering and production through rapid defect containment, resolution, and corrective/preventive action. Your day-to-day activities will involve uncovering non-conformances onsite and collaborating with the Supply Chain Engineering team to enhance vendor quality. You will help create a structured approach for executing and improving processes related to supplier deviation requests (SDR), material review board (MRB), and supplier corrective and preventive action activities. Your efforts will drive operational excellence in supplier non-conformance management, ultimately reducing future non-conformances and ensuring that SpaceX's high standards are met.
