Who you are

You have 2+ years of professional experience in a hands-on manufacturing or engineering role, with a strong background in electrical and mechanical diagnostics. Your expertise in building and maintaining hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) test equipment is complemented by your ability to troubleshoot and validate complex systems. You are detail-oriented and committed to ensuring the reliability of satellite test systems, which is critical for the success of SpaceX's Starlink project.

You possess a high school diploma or equivalency certificate, and your technical skills include crimping, soldering, and assembling connectors for cable harnesses. You are adept at developing and documenting procedures for execution, maintenance, assembly, and anomaly handling, ensuring that all processes are clear and efficient. Your commitment to maintaining an organized, clean, and safe work environment reflects your dedication to quality and safety in engineering practices.

What you'll do

In this role, you will ensure that satellite development test systems and areas are operating properly, performing first-level troubleshooting with electrical and mechanical diagnostics. You will build, update, repair, and validate bespoke hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) test equipment, servers, and network racks, playing a crucial role in the integration testing process. Your responsibilities will also include fabricating and repairing cable harnesses, which involves crimping, soldering, and assembling connectors to ensure the integrity of the systems.

You will develop and document procedures for execution, maintenance, assembly, and anomaly handling, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of the testing processes. Your role will require you to maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment, which is essential for effective testing and development. You will collaborate closely with other engineers and specialists to support the rapid development velocity that is critical to the success of Starlink, ensuring that high-speed broadband can be delivered to every corner of the world.
