Who you are

You are a detail-oriented Finance Analyst with expertise in bank reconciliation and month-end close activities. You have strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail, enabling you to work effectively within tight deadlines. Your experience includes ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of bank accounts and identifying discrepancies in financial transactions. You are comfortable collaborating with other departments such as Accounts Payable, Payroll, HR, and Tax to resolve outstanding items. You maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Desirable

Experience in a finance role within a corporate environment is a plus. You are familiar with internal controls and audit procedures, which enhances your ability to suggest improvements to current reconciliation processes for increased efficiency.

What you'll do

In this role, you will perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts, comparing and reconciling bank statements with the company’s financial records. You will identify and investigate discrepancies between bank statements and general ledger accounts, ensuring that all deposits, withdrawals, and inter-account transfers are accurately recorded. You will prepare a list of open bank reconciliation items on a weekly and monthly basis and escalate any unresolved discrepancies or issues to your manager. Additionally, you will assist in the month-end closing process by providing reconciliation data and reports, reviewing all monthly accounting activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
