Familiarity with technologies such as Kafka or AMPS, as well as Kubernetes or Slurm, is a plus. Your knowledge of databases like PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, or KDB/q will be beneficial in this role, as you will be working with high volumes of trading data.

Desirable

While not mandatory, experience with health check platforms and benchmarking automation will set you apart. You understand the importance of preventing functional and performance regressions in software systems and have a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact operations.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance and stability of Squarepoint's Risk software systems. You will work closely with the Risk team to develop and maintain platforms that support position management, profit/loss computation, and inventory management. Your contributions will help automate operational flows and enhance the overall reliability of the systems.

You will implement domain-specific logic tailored to the needs of various sub-teams within Risk, ensuring that their requirements are met effectively. Your work will involve building and maintaining observability tools that allow teams to monitor system health and performance easily. You will also play a key role in preventing functional and performance regressions by developing platforms that facilitate benchmarking and automate the scheduling of jobs.

Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work with cross-functional teams to adapt to changing priorities and requirements. Your ability to communicate effectively and work well with others will be crucial in driving the success of the Risk software systems.
