Statista is hiring a Functional Lead - Data Architecture to steer the Data Architecture function and lead cross-functional programs. This role requires several years of experience in functional leadership within data-driven organizations.

You have several years of experience in functional leadership, program management, or portfolio roles in data-driven organizations — you've successfully led teams and projects that focus on data architecture and governance. Your background equips you to translate complex data topics into clear outcomes and decisions, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed.
You possess strong organizational skills and can establish clear priorities and operating models across teams — your ability to coordinate cross-functional programs and projects is essential in driving the Data Architecture function forward. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with diverse teams to achieve common goals.
What you'll do
In this role, you will steer the Data Architecture function from both an organizational and delivery perspective, covering data architecture, taxonomy, and metadata governance. You will lead data engineers, architects, and taxonomy/metadata specialists, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and meet the highest standards of quality. Your leadership will be crucial in driving and coordinating cross-functional programs across Data Architecture, Product, Research, Data Operations, and Tech.
You will act as the primary stakeholder interface for Data Architecture, translating complex topics into actionable insights and decisions. Establishing clear priorities and decision-making processes will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you work to create a cohesive and effective Data Architecture team.
