Who you are
You have experience in payments, e-commerce, social media, or fintech, specifically in mitigating digital/card-not-present fraud. Your background includes investigating and mitigating card testing and account takeover attacks, which has equipped you with a deep understanding of fraud patterns and typologies. You have designed fraud and risk workflows, analyst tooling, and procedural workflows that enhance operational efficiency. Your strong proficiency in SQL allows you to analyze data effectively, drive insights, and create dashboards and visualizations that support decision-making.
What you'll do
As a Payments Fraud Investigator at Stripe, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our financial ecosystem. Your primary responsibility will be to investigate high-risk accounts and identify various forms of fraud. You will conduct deep-dive analyses of merchant accounts, leading cross-functional projects that enhance our fraud detection and prevention strategies at scale. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will develop and enhance investigative processes and programs that proactively reduce fraud and protect our users. Your expertise will be essential in making fraud difficult and unprofitable for fraudsters, ensuring a secure environment for our customers.
