You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in backend development and data systems. Your expertise includes designing APIs and building developer platforms, and you have a strong understanding of scaling distributed systems in fast-paced environments. You enjoy working with data pipelines and have experience with industry-grade data transformation solutions such as dbt, with familiarity in SQLMesh being a plus. Your genuine interest in innovation drives you to understand how systems work and how to improve them.

What you'll do

As a Staff Software Engineer on the Analytics and Reporting Components team, you will lead the design and implementation of backend platforms that power core analytical experiences at Stripe. You will be responsible for re-architecting Stripe's analytical foundation to deliver a unified and trustworthy data experience across the Stripe Dashboard. Your role will involve driving large, ambiguous projects from end-to-end, ensuring that the solutions you develop are cohesive and scalable. You will collaborate closely with product teams to empower them with reliable insights and actionable data.
