Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong engineering background, ideally with experience as a Software Engineer or Machine Learning Engineer. Proficiency in Python is essential, as you will be writing production-level backend code, not just ML scripts. You understand SQL and have familiarity with JavaScript, which is a plus. Your experience includes working with cloud infrastructure, allowing you to understand how it supports scalable machine learning solutions. You are passionate about integrating Generative AI capabilities where relevant and are eager to help shape internal ML best practices while contributing to team knowledge-sharing.
What you'll do
As an Applied Machine Learning Engineer at Sweep, you will play a key role in designing and delivering ML-driven solutions that go directly into production. This hands-on, engineering-focused role requires you to collaborate closely with product and backend teams to bring intelligent features to life. You will build, test, and deploy end-to-end ML systems, starting from data exploration and prototyping to production-grade deployment. Writing high-quality, maintainable Python code, including backend logic, will be a significant part of your responsibilities. You will work with real-world datasets to solve practical problems, focusing on impact and scalability. Participating in system design discussions will be crucial, especially regarding how cloud infrastructure supports scalable ML. You will also explore and integrate Generative AI capabilities where relevant, helping to shape internal ML best practices and contribute to team knowledge-sharing.
