Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in object-oriented programming and infrastructure development, with a strong background in Release Engineering or DevOps. Your proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or Go enables you to streamline processes effectively. You possess strong expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and CircleCI, which are essential for maintaining efficient software release cycles. Your deep knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, allows you to manage complex deployments seamlessly. You are familiar with infrastructure as code practices using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible, which help you automate and manage infrastructure efficiently. Additionally, you have a solid understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and scalable architecture principles that are crucial for handling large-scale applications.

What you'll do

As a Senior Release Engineer at Taboola, you will play a vital role in solving scaling challenges within our build system, efficiently managing 8 million lines of code and 160,000 unit tests. You will drive best practices for DevOps, site reliability, and infrastructure scalability, ensuring that our systems are robust and efficient. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to facilitate smooth, automated, and reliable software releases. You will also develop scalable infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions to improve deployment processes and empower developers with self-service toolsets. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance our release processes and ensure that our infrastructure meets the demands of our growing applications.
