Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a strong background in building and deploying production-level ML models. You understand the intricacies of integrating machine learning into existing systems and have a proven track record of delivering reliable, low-latency services. Your expertise in big data technologies allows you to handle large datasets effectively, ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the ML lifecycle.
You possess a deep understanding of AI principles and have experience working with various machine learning frameworks and libraries. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including applied sciences and product management, to translate complex ideas into actionable solutions that drive measurable impact for users and stakeholders.
Your experience with CI/CD practices enables you to streamline the deployment process, ensuring that ML models are continuously integrated and delivered with high reliability. You are familiar with microservices architecture, which allows you to build scalable and maintainable systems that can adapt to changing business needs.
You are passionate about leveraging technology to disrupt traditional industries and are excited about the potential of machine learning to transform the automotive retail ecosystem. Desirable
Experience with large language models (LLMs) and agent-driven features is a plus, as you will be involved in accelerating the rollout of these capabilities across Tekion's products. Familiarity with secure and compliant operational practices will also be beneficial in this role.
What you'll do
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Tekion, you will be responsible for building and operating the production backbone that delivers ML services across various products, including DMS, CRM, and Digital Retail. You will own the entire pipeline, from model training to deployment, ensuring that the services you create are reliable and efficient.
You will collaborate closely with the Applied Sciences team to operationalize machine learning models, turning innovative ideas into features that enhance user experiences. Your role will involve designing and implementing microservices that support ML functionalities, ensuring they are integrated seamlessly into the existing platform.
You will also focus on improving the observability and runtime reliability of ML services, utilizing monitoring tools to track performance and identify areas for optimization. Your contributions will directly impact the way dealers and consumers interact with Tekion's products, driving engagement and satisfaction.
In addition to technical responsibilities, you will play a key role in fostering a culture of innovation within the team. You will encourage experimentation and exploration of new technologies, helping to keep Tekion at the forefront of the automotive retail industry.
