Tendo is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to contribute to strategic data engineering solutions in healthcare. You'll work with ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and collaborate with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers. This role requires a strong background in software engineering and data management.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in software engineering and data management, with at least 5 years of experience in data engineering roles. Your expertise includes data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines that ensure high-quality data flows. You are comfortable working with healthcare-related data and understand the nuances involved in handling sensitive information.

You possess excellent collaboration skills, enabling you to work effectively with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Machine Learning Engineers. You have a demonstrated interest in AI/ML applications and are eager to contribute to innovative solutions that enhance healthcare experiences. Your forward-thinking mindset drives you to seek out new technologies and methodologies that can improve data integration and analytics.

You are proficient in SQL and Python, which you use to develop tools and solutions for data integration and warehousing. Your experience with various data sources allows you to transform and prepare data for advanced analytics and model development. You are detail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality data outputs that support decision-making processes.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is a plus, as is familiarity with data visualization tools. You may also have experience in healthcare technology, which would further enhance your ability to contribute to Tendo's mission. You are open to learning and adapting to new technologies as they emerge in the data engineering landscape.

What you'll do

As a Senior Data Engineer at Tendo, you will be responsible for ingesting, transforming, and warehousing healthcare-related data from various sources. You will collaborate closely with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to create robust data flows that support advanced analytics and AI/ML model development. Your role will involve developing and maintaining ETL pipelines that ensure data quality and accessibility for analytical purposes.

You will also work on data modeling and database design, ensuring that the data architecture aligns with Tendo's strategic goals. Your contributions will enable Data Engineers and Data Scientists to experiment and train machine learning models, ultimately producing valuable insights for Tendo's customers.
