You have a strong background in information security management, with a proven track record of leading security programs and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Your experience includes supervising security engineering practices and implementing effective security controls that align with business objectives. You are adept at managing cyber risks and have a deep understanding of industry frameworks and best practices.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Engineering, Product, and Operations. Your ability to translate complex security concepts into actionable strategies is key to your success in this role. You are a proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to maintaining a resilient security posture.
Desirable
Experience with adversary research, threat modeling, and risk assessment is highly valued. Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) strategies and tools will set you apart. You are also knowledgeable about the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies, which enables you to provide in-depth advice and guidance to your team and stakeholders.
What you'll do
As the Information Security Manager at Thndr, you will lead the development and continuous improvement of the organization's information security program. Your responsibilities include supervising security engineering practices, ensuring their secure and efficient operations, and overseeing the implementation of security controls across products, infrastructure, and third-party services. You will define and monitor key performance indicators to measure technical security maturity and control effectiveness.
You will work closely with the Security Engineering team to deliver a cohesive, risk-informed, and compliant security program. This involves conducting adversary research and threat modeling to identify potential vulnerabilities and implementing strategies to mitigate risks. You will also oversee identity and access management (IAM) strategies, ensuring that access controls are robust and aligned with organizational policies.
Your role will require you to stay updated on cybersecurity regulatory requirements and industry standards, ensuring that the organization meets compliance obligations. You will collaborate with various teams to maintain a mature security posture and provide guidance on security best practices. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
