Who you are

You have a basic understanding of public cloud environments, specifically AWS and GCP, and are eager to learn more about cloud infrastructure. Your experience includes working with CI/CD services such as GitHub, GitLab, or Jenkins, which you have used to streamline deployment processes. You possess a foundational knowledge of containers and container orchestration systems, including Docker and Kubernetes, and are excited to deepen your expertise in these areas. You have previous experience with monitoring and log management systems like Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk, which you have utilized to ensure system reliability and performance. Your understanding of networking and security concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls, helps you contribute to the security and efficiency of the infrastructure. Additionally, you have a basic knowledge of RDBMS technologies such as AWS RDS and MySQL/MariaDB, and you are familiar with scripting in Python or Bash, which you use to automate tasks and improve workflows.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and deploy dynamically scalable, self-healing infrastructure and applications in both public and private cloud environments. You will utilize IaaS automation tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation to manage infrastructure as code. Your responsibilities will include migrating environments from on-premise infrastructure to AWS or GCP, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal downtime. You will handle operational and security alerts and incidents, responding promptly to maintain system integrity. Continuous performance improvement will be a key focus, as you troubleshoot critical components and enhance monitoring systems. You will work collaboratively with your colleagues, sharing knowledge and learning from their experiences, fostering a culture of mutual feedback and growth. The role requires you to work on shifts, which may include public holidays, as you support the infrastructure around the clock.
