Business Intelligence Engineer • Mid-Level

Who you are

You have 4+ years of relevant work experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Warehousing/Modeling — you've successfully managed, published, and optimized BI solutions using tools like Tableau, Looker, and Thoughtspot. Your strong SQL and Data Modeling skills enable you to extract insights from complex datasets, and experience with dbt is a plus. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with data analysts and data scientists to implement best BI practices and detailed documentation.

You possess excellent communication skills and a strong technical background, allowing you to effectively partner with business stakeholders to understand their data needs. Your curiosity drives you to continuously improve BI tool stacks, making them more stable, scalable, observable, and secure. You are adaptable and can handle multiple moving pieces while maintaining quality and delivering value to customers.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for modernizing and scaling the BI platform at Navan. You will continuously improve the existing BI tool stack, ensuring it meets the evolving data needs of the organization. Collaborating with business stakeholders, you will gather requirements and translate them into actionable BI solutions. You will also work closely with data analysts and data scientists to support their efforts in data analysis and reporting.

Your responsibilities will include managing and optimizing BI solutions, ensuring they are user-friendly and effective for decision-making. You will document best practices and provide training to team members on BI tools and methodologies. Additionally, you will analyze data to identify trends and insights that can drive business strategy and improve user experience.
