Your background includes designing and implementing security-oriented frameworks and features, ensuring that customer-facing products are secure and compliant with industry standards. You possess advanced technical skills and can effectively communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams is key to your success in this role.

You are knowledgeable about various security protocols and frameworks, including SAML, JWT, and OIDC. You have experience with cryptographic primitives and understand application security issues and tools. Your familiarity with compliance requirements for certifications like PCI DSS, SOC2, HIPAA, and FedRAMP will help you navigate the regulatory landscape effectively. You thrive in small teams and are adept at delivering impactful solutions that enhance security.

Desirable

Experience with cutting-edge security solutions like Passkeys is a plus. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on security best practices. Your passion for continuous learning and improvement drives you to stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for securing Navan products by identifying areas of weakness and implementing scalable solutions that improve the overall security posture. You will design and develop core services related to authentication, authorization, and encryption, ensuring that these services meet the needs of various customer personas and use cases. Your work will involve researching and implementing security-oriented frameworks and features that protect Navan's customers.

You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to drive risk remediation efforts based on your research. Your ability to break down prior technical implementations will be crucial as you deliver incremental security value through meaningful code refactors. You will also serve as a liaison between the engineering and security organizations, ensuring that security is integrated into the software development lifecycle from the outset.

Your contributions will significantly impact the security of Navan's customer-facing products and internal tools. You will be expected to stay informed about the latest security threats and vulnerabilities, proactively addressing them to maintain a robust security posture. Your role will require you to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders while delivering high-quality security solutions.
