Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in product security, focusing on application security and risk management. Your expertise includes identifying vulnerabilities early in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and promoting a security-first culture within engineering teams. You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across departments.

You have a deep understanding of security vulnerabilities and the ability to conduct thorough security assessments. Your experience includes developing automated security solutions and integrating security practices into the development process. You are familiar with compliance requirements for industry-standard certifications such as PCI DSS, SOC2, HIPAA, and FedRAMP, which enhances your capability to advise on security best practices.

What you'll do

As a Senior Product Security Engineer, you will lead high-priority product security initiatives and ensure the timely delivery of impactful security measures. You will act as a key advisor to the overall strategy and roadmap of the Product Security Program, participating in the expansion and maturation of the Navan Secure Software Development Lifecycle (S-SDLC) program. Your responsibilities will include reviewing product designs for security defects, performing threat modeling, and recommending remediations to enhance product security.

You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to ensure that security is integrated into the software development process from the outset. This involves proactively discovering security vulnerabilities and advising on risk remediation based on your research. You will also provide security analysis, design, and training to the organization, fostering a culture of security awareness and best practices.
