Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, with a strong background in designing and maintaining scalable systems. Your expertise includes working with cloud platforms like AWS and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. You are comfortable with programming languages like Python and have a solid understanding of machine learning principles, enabling you to support both traditional and AI-based workloads.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you have a knack for identifying inefficiencies and implementing effective solutions. You understand the logistics industry and are passionate about making a meaningful impact in this space.

Desirable

Experience with infrastructure as code tools and CI/CD pipelines is a plus. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools will help you ensure system reliability and performance. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your work and the team's output.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and evolve the core platform architecture, focusing on core application frameworks and abstractions that power TruckSmarter's systems. You will build and scale the infrastructure that supports both traditional machine learning and agentic-AI workloads, ensuring that the platform remains fast, resilient, and cost-efficient.

You will collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to define system requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your responsibilities will include architecting new services, improving developer velocity, and maintaining existing systems to ensure optimal performance.

You will also be involved in mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles. As part of the team, you will participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and help establish best practices for software development and deployment.
