Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and over 5 years of professional experience performing structural analysis and testing. Your expertise includes finite element modeling and analysis, and you are skilled in planning and executing structural environmental tests such as acoustic and vibration testing. You possess a solid understanding of composite and metallic structures, joints, and fastener analysis, which allows you to ensure the structural integrity and reliability of spacecraft systems.
You are adept at performing dynamic structural analysis on satellite systems, including modal, random vibration, and jitter analysis. Your ability to conduct preliminary hand calculations ahead of detailed modeling processes helps reduce design iterations and streamline project timelines. You excel in coordinating design solutions with design engineers to meet vehicle requirements, ensuring that all aspects of the design process are aligned with project goals.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the development, analysis, and verification of structural designs for spacecraft systems and components. You will perform dynamic structural analysis and derive load and environmental requirements for subsystem and component-level analysis. Your responsibilities will include developing and overseeing environmental test campaigns to validate spacecraft and component design margins, ensuring compliance with qualification and acceptance requirements.
You will own logistics and planning for hardware and test instruments from concept through launch, ensuring that all necessary resources are in place for successful testing and validation. Your role will be critical in ensuring structural integrity, performance, and reliability across all phases of the programβfrom early concept development and detailed design through modeling, testing, correlation, qualification, and launch.
