You have hands-on experience with modern technologies, including Go, Node.js, React, and Next.js, and you are familiar with cloud environments, particularly AWS. Your technical background allows you to review designs and provide valuable guidance to your team, even if coding is not your primary focus. You are passionate about creating a high-performance engineering culture that prioritizes quality and efficiency.

Desirable

Experience with Kubernetes and Kafka is a plus, as these tools are integral to our stack. Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog will help you ensure that our systems are running smoothly and efficiently. You are open to learning new technologies and adapting to the evolving needs of the team and the business.

What you'll do

As an Engineering Manager at Typeform, you will lead and mentor a team of 5-8 engineers, guiding them in their professional development and fostering a collaborative environment. You will work closely with Product Managers and other stakeholders to define project roadmaps, break down complex tasks, and ensure that your team delivers high-quality results on time. Your role will involve establishing and refining software development best practices, ensuring that your team balances technical innovation with the management of existing systems.

You will identify opportunities for cross-team collaboration and architectural improvements, driving process optimizations that enhance efficiency and effectiveness. While this role is not heavily focused on coding, you will be expected to review technical designs and provide guidance to your team. Your ability to communicate engineering needs to non-technical stakeholders will be crucial in aligning teams with broader company objectives.
