What you'll do

In this role, you will develop and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning models that provide personalized recommendations to millions of users. You will work closely with the Rider ML team to enhance the rider engagement across various touchpoints within the Uber platform. Your responsibilities will include optimizing the rider homepage ranking and product selection ranking, ensuring that users receive the most relevant products based on their session intent. You will also be involved in building the machine learning infrastructure that supports real-time dynamic personalization of rider surfaces.

You will collaborate with data engineers to design and implement data pipelines that ensure high-quality data for model training and evaluation. Your role will require you to conduct experiments to validate model performance and iterate on solutions based on user feedback and engagement metrics. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall architecture of the machine learning systems, ensuring scalability and efficiency. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to present your findings and recommendations to stakeholders, influencing the direction of machine learning initiatives at Uber.
