What you'll do

In this role, you will architect and evolve Uber's backend infrastructure to support growing workloads, including deployment engines and hybrid cloud environments. You will lead initiatives for safe deployment and rollback automation, enhancing resilience across various workloads. Your responsibilities will also include improving infrastructure security and compliance, focusing on encryption-at-rest and ransomware mitigation strategies.

You will advance Uber's modernization efforts, particularly in Kubernetes migration and PaaS improvements, while optimizing infrastructure efficiency through ARM adoption and autoscaling enhancements. As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will mentor other engineers, driving technical strategy to ensure that Uber's backend infrastructure remains cutting-edge, reliable, and scalable. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and efficiency of Uber's global platform.
