Overview

Uber is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to manage and optimize tax positions across EMEA, focusing on compliance and strategic planning. This role requires strong technical tax expertise and experience in managing tax matters in multiple jurisdictions.

Job Description

Who you are

You have over 6 years of experience in international and regional corporate tax, ideally within a multinational environment or a Big 4 firm. Your strong technical tax expertise allows you to navigate complex tax matters effectively, making you a trusted advisor in your field. You have proven experience managing both direct and indirect tax matters across multiple EMEA jurisdictions, including tax controversy and advisory. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for you, as you will act as the primary point of contact for tax matters in five EMEA countries, including key markets like Germany and Spain.

What you'll do

In this role, you will coordinate and lead responses to tax audits and queries from local tax authorities, working closely with external advisors and internal stakeholders. You will monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business, providing timely guidance to relevant teams. Collaboration is key, as you will work with other teams such as Legal, Policy, and Operations to assess tax implications of new business initiatives. You will also support global and regional tax planning efforts, ensuring alignment with Uber’s overall tax strategy while managing local risks. Driving process improvements and automation initiatives will be part of your responsibilities, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the tax function.
