What you'll do

As a Lead DevOps Engineer at Updater, you will drive vital initiatives that enhance deployment velocity and system reliability. You will collaborate closely with product pods and project managers to understand their workflows and pain points, ensuring that the infrastructure and tooling you build enable engineers to ship faster and sleep better. Your responsibilities will include optimizing Kubernetes configurations, implementing GitOps workflows, and ensuring comprehensive observability coverage with Datadog. You will also focus on reducing tooling and configuration complexity, allowing engineers to spend more time building features rather than fighting with tools. Additionally, you will work on optimizing infrastructure costs without compromising reliability, ensuring that new features and services can be deployed reliably and repeatably.
