You have a strong background in security research, particularly in identifying vulnerabilities in software applications. With experience in C, C++, and C#, you understand the intricacies of application security and can effectively communicate vulnerabilities and exploits to engineering teams.
Your expertise extends to static analysis and reverse engineering, allowing you to dissect applications and uncover potential weaknesses. You are passionate about contributing to the security community through original research and sharing your findings.
You are innovative and proactive, always looking for ways to improve detection techniques and enhance automation in security processes. Your analytical mindset helps you to think critically about security challenges and devise effective solutions.
What you'll do
As a Senior Security Researcher at Veracode, you will lead research initiatives focused on improving the capabilities of Static Application Security Testing (SAST). You will conduct in-depth research to identify vulnerabilities in various programming languages, primarily C, C++, and C#. Your role will involve producing proofs of concept and representative examples to assist engineering teams in enhancing product capabilities.
You will engage in binary and source static analysis, utilizing both proprietary software and open-source tools to improve the accuracy and efficiency of detection techniques. Your contributions will not only advance Veracode's offerings but also provide valuable insights to the broader security community.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with engineering teams to communicate findings and support the development of secure software solutions. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior researchers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the Applied Research Group.
