Verkada is hiring a Senior Manager, Accounting to oversee operational processes and ensure compliance with US GAAP. You'll manage day-to-day accounting activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This role requires significant experience in accounting and financial management.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in accounting with at least 5 years of experience managing accounting operations. Your expertise includes overseeing cost allocations, fixed assets, and cash management, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal policies. You are detail-oriented and have a proven track record of managing the monthly and quarterly close processes effectively.
You possess excellent analytical skills and are comfortable reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams allows you to work effectively on special projects and process optimization efforts. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing automation solutions to enhance efficiency.
What you'll do
In this role, you will oversee the operational processes of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting. You will manage the day-to-day accounting activities, including the review of journal entries and account reconciliations. You will also be responsible for preparing disclosure schedules for financial filings and conducting fluctuation analysis to provide insights into financial performance.
You will lead the monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines and compliance with US GAAP. Additionally, you will manage the international entity accounting close process, reviewing local management accounts and recording foreign entity transactions. Your collaboration with leadership and other finance teams will be crucial in driving special projects and initiatives that support the company's growth.
