Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, particularly in evaluating system elements and defining comprehensive cybersecurity concepts. Your background includes performing threat analysis and risk assessments (TARA) in compliance with ISO/SAE 21434, ensuring that you are well-versed in industry standards and best practices. You possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of security requirements, allowing you to determine effective risk treatment approaches. Collaboration is key in your role, as you work closely with engineering and safety teams throughout the product lifecycle to understand and mitigate practical security and safety implications. You are proactive in ensuring continuous compliance with relevant standards across multiple projects, demonstrating your commitment to maintaining high security standards.
Desirable
Experience with autonomous systems or automotive cybersecurity is a plus, as it will enhance your ability to contribute to Waymo's mission. Familiarity with various cybersecurity frameworks and methodologies will also be beneficial in this role. You are a strong communicator, capable of articulating complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering a culture of security awareness within the organization.
What you'll do
As a Senior Security Engineer at Waymo, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures for innovative products and services. What we offer
Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $204,000—$259,000 USD, along with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus program and an equity incentive plan.
