Your experience includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle, ensuring that security is a priority from the outset.

You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can think like an attacker — this mindset allows you to anticipate potential threats and proactively address them. You are comfortable conducting security assessments and audits, and you have a track record of successfully implementing security measures that protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with industry standards. Your communication skills are top-notch, enabling you to convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What you'll do

As a Senior AppSec Engineer at WeTravel, you will play a critical role in enhancing the security posture of our platform — you will lead security initiatives, conduct vulnerability assessments, and work closely with development teams to ensure secure coding practices are followed. You will be responsible for developing and implementing security policies and procedures, as well as providing training and guidance to team members on security best practices. Your expertise will help shape the security strategy as we scale our operations and expand our services.

You will also monitor security incidents and respond to threats in real-time, ensuring that our systems remain secure against evolving threats. Collaborating with product and engineering teams, you will integrate security into the development process, conducting code reviews and security testing to identify and mitigate risks early in the development lifecycle. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining the trust of our users and ensuring the integrity of our platform as we grow.
