5+ years of backend engineering experience with a focus on AI and machine learning — you've developed and maintained scalable systems that enhance user experiences and drive health outcomes. Your expertise in Python and machine learning frameworks allows you to build innovative solutions that empower users to understand their health better.
Deep understanding of REST APIs and how to integrate them effectively — you have experience designing APIs that are both robust and user-friendly, ensuring seamless interactions between the backend and frontend. Your ability to optimize these APIs for performance and reliability is key to your success.
You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers — you understand that great products come from diverse perspectives and shared goals. Your communication skills help bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You are passionate about health technology and its potential to improve lives — you stay updated on the latest trends in AI and health tech, and you are eager to apply this knowledge to your work. Your curiosity drives you to explore new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your contributions.

Experience with generative AI technologies is a plus — you have a keen interest in how AI can transform user experiences and are excited about the potential of generative models in health applications. What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer on the AI Experiences team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining features that leverage WHOOP's generative AI capabilities. You will collaborate with product and design teams to create user-centric solutions that drive real health outcomes. Your role will involve designing and implementing backend services that are scalable and efficient, ensuring that they meet the needs of our diverse user base.
You will also be tasked with optimizing existing systems and APIs, ensuring they perform well under load and provide a seamless experience for users. Your contributions will directly impact how our members interact with the WHOOP platform, helping them unlock their full potential.
In addition to coding, you will participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles.
