Wisk is hiring an SMS Program Advisor to ensure the Safety Management System functions effectively throughout the design, manufacturing, and testing processes. This role requires collaboration with various teams to support the development of a novel aircraft targeting the autonomous UAM market.
Job Description
Who you are
You have experience in safety management systems and understand the complexities involved in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You are skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and environmental health and safety (EHS), to identify and leverage existing processes for SMS functions. You possess strong analytical skills and can build new processes where necessary to enhance safety management. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high safety standards in innovative environments.
What you'll do
As an SMS Program Advisor at Wisk, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing the Safety Management System for a novel type of aircraft. You will work closely with the SMS team to ensure that safety protocols are integrated throughout the design, manufacturing, and testing phases. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with engineering and production teams to identify existing processes that can be utilized for SMS functions, as well as developing new processes to meet regulatory requirements. You will also support flight testing and simulator activities, ensuring that safety measures are adhered to at all stages of the program. Your role will involve independent work as well as teamwork, requiring effective communication and coordination with various departments to achieve safety objectives.
