Who you are

You are an experienced software engineer with a strong background in developing optimized algorithms for autonomous driving applications. You have expertise in Python and C++, and you understand the complexities of vehicle maneuver applications in mass production vehicles. Your experience includes working with advanced driving assistance systems, where you have developed ego-velocity and path planning technologies that emulate skilled driving behavior based on environmental data.

You possess a deep understanding of the interaction between vehicle controllers and actuator performance, and you are comfortable engaging in cross-functional discussions to contribute to motion control design reviews. Your skills in virtual development and validation using closed-simulation models are well-honed, allowing you to effectively test and refine your algorithms before deployment.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing optimized velocity and path planning algorithms that take into account environmental constraints and high-precision map data. You will collaborate closely with other engineers to ensure that the algorithms you create are efficient and effective for real-world driving scenarios. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and security of vehicle maneuver applications, helping to advance Toyota's mission of achieving zero accidents.
