Who you are

You are an experienced Systems Engineer with over 5 years of experience in software engineering, having executed all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Your background includes working with complex systems in the automotive, aerospace, or medical fields, and you have a strong grasp of customer requirements analysis and solution design.

You possess a deep understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering and are proficient in UML and SysML. Your experience includes defining system and software architectures while ensuring traceability from business requirements to software implementation. You are skilled in using industry-standard tools and methodologies to enhance system engineering processes.

You have a proven track record of collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders to derive system requirements and designs. Your ability to engage with engineers across various disciplines is essential, as you will be leading design reviews and supporting prototyping efforts.

Your interpersonal skills are complemented by practical hands-on engineering abilities, allowing you to effectively support engineering-level design and execution. You thrive in environments that require both technical expertise and strong collaboration.

Desirable

Experience in consulting, startups, or fast-growing organizations is a plus. Familiarity with automotive tools, platforms, and processes, as well as V-model development and A-SPICE, will set you apart. You have practical experience with modeling tools such as CATIA Magic, Rhapsody, or Enterprise Architect, and you are knowledgeable about requirements management systems like Jama or Doors.

What you'll do

In this role, you will leverage your systems engineering expertise to solve cross-departmental challenges and issues. You will apply Model-Based Systems Engineering techniques to define system and software architectures, ensuring that all designs meet safety and security standards. Your responsibilities will include creating system requirements and designs, as well as supporting the software requirements and design processes.

You will continuously improve the systems engineering processes by reflecting industry best practices and educating the engineering team on systems engineering capabilities. Your role will involve close collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders to guide the development of system requirements and designs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

You will also be responsible for leading design reviews and supporting prototyping efforts, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the engineering team. Your contributions will be critical in advancing the mission of Woven by Toyota to redefine mobility through cutting-edge technology.
