Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field, and you bring 2-4 years of experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment. With 1-2 years specifically focused on manufacturing engineering, particularly in CNC machining, you possess a strong understanding of the manufacturing process and the ability to evaluate designs for manufacturability. You are adept at interfacing with various stakeholders, including machine shops and internal teams, to ensure successful project execution.
What you'll do
As a Project Engineer at Xometry, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies tailored to customer needs. Your role will involve working closely with customers from diverse industries such as aerospace, defense, automotive, and medical devices. You will evaluate customer designs and recommend solutions that utilize Xometryβs extensive portfolio of technologies. Once an order is placed, you will assist production in troubleshooting any issues that arise during order execution, ensuring customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will engage in special projects aimed at expanding the capabilities of our manufacturing partner network, collaborating with OEM equipment makers and internal experts to enhance our core competencies.
